CD Projekt Red Hopes The Witcher 4 Will Restore Player Trust After Cyberpunk 2077 Launch Issues

CD Projekt Red CEO Michal Nowakowski has acknowledged that the studio is still working to regain the trust of some players following the troubled launch of Cyberpunk 2077. Despite the game's impressive comeback over the years, he believes the company's reputation has not been fully restored.

When Cyberpunk 2077 launched, players faced numerous technical issues, performance problems, and bugs, especially on older console generations. The situation became so severe that the game was temporarily removed from digital stores, creating one of the most controversial releases in gaming history.

Since then, CD Projekt Red has released multiple updates, improvements, and expansion content that transformed Cyberpunk 2077 into one of the most respected RPG experiences available today. However, according to Nowakowski, some fans may never completely forget the launch experience.
